16th September:
Kate Bush will release her first album
in 12 years November 7th- The double album 'Aerial'
follows the rease of a CD single 'King of the mountain' due to
be released October 24th. Both the single and album have
been produced by Kate herself. Her last album, 'The Red Shoes'
reviewed here at IOM, reached number two in the UK album chart in
1993. Her last public appearance was in 2001, when she received Q
magazine's "classic songwriter" award in London.
3rd September:
Nominations invited for the 2006 Artist
of the Year Award with support for Katrina Relief. The
nomination period for IOM's Artist of the Year Award will run in
parallel with the IOMAs this year from September 1st with
nominations being accepted until December 21st. This year, Public as
well as Artist nominations are being sought where artists can
legitimately campaign for votes. Also, each vote will cost just 3
USD with 2 USD being given to the American Red Cross Relief efforts.

1st September:
Nominations invited for the 2006
International Online Music Awards. The nomination period for
the third annual IOMAs began on September 1st 2005 with nominations
being accepted until December 21st. The highly coveted and
prestigious awards event will take place on January 1st when winners
in 40 categories will be announced along with the top five nominated
finalists in all categories. New categories for the 2006 IOMAs
include: Best Online Music Store, Best CD Manufacturer, Best Music
Video, Best CD Photography, Best Photographer, and Best Label
Design. Additionally, International Online Music magazine will also
be inviting artist and public nominations for the 2006
Artist of the Year Award and the 2006 Classic Album Award. This is
the first time artists can gather support from fans and followers in

13th June:
R Cat Records release 'pre-release'-
version of Adam Lastiwka's 'Obsecurity' album. Adam
Lastiwka's self-produced first album is also R Cat's first record
release (RCATCD001) and is expected to be available to the
international public in about eight weeks time. The album was
mastered and engineered by IOMA winning producer Carl 'Kirk'
Kirkendall of Zenpool fame.
